Okay, that kinda sucked
Aside from the AWSOME gifts I received - thank you, thank you, thank you - Christmas kinda sucked this year.
All of two whole people showed up Christmas Eve. While it was great of them to come and we had a nice evening, it really stung that no one else that was invited came - or called for that matter. I had figured on at least two more people but I haven't heard from them. Not even Christmas Day when they were supposedly "definitly" coming by.
But with everything going on with Matthew and not getting to see my Dad after planning on it for so long... it was all too much. Or too little, depending how you look at it. I actually starting crying at about 9pm Christmas Eve because all I could think was, "Could I really be that horrible of a person?"
Christmas morning my Dad called to say that he opened the gift I sent him and he liked it. He put my neice on the phone for a minute and Mom could hear her chattering about how Santa ate the cookies and the reindeer ate the carrot. We both spent the next hour crying.
Merry freaking Christmas.

This year I look at my beloved Christmas village that I've had longer than I can remember and I just want to pack it all away and never look at it again. Same with the tree and everything else that looks remotely Christmasy.

Never pack away the CRimmas Village! It's ok to have rough times now and again but you can't let the crappy times and people WIN. You have to keep your traditions or else you will have given up.. The Manda Dawn i know isn't a quitter. She's actually as stubborn as me. *which is pretty damn stubborn* so stick it out and you'll find eventually people will respond. Matthew has always been an ass, eventually he will see the errors of his ways. You've told me a million times how many people like you and how personable you are. So dammit all BE that Manda.
I guess what i'm trying to say is: Packing away the Crimmas Village is like sacriligious and almost saying the holiday doesn't exist, so don't. Don't give up.
Yes, I am a looser. I'm sorry we didn't make it for christmas. I was sick, really sick, and I still had to make a showing at my in-laws. I didn't call, I should have. Christmas eve was busy, I found out I had to buy gifts for my in-laws, which I hadn't expected, and Matt made me go do it alone. My friend, here in town, was alone for Christmas, so I spent christmas eve with her -her boyfriend went to his family and left her alone.
I'm sorry to hear that your christmas was bad. :( I wish I'd gotten the chance to see you. I'm so sorry we didn't make it that way.
